The Challenge
After diving into the research, the HoMedics marketing team identified an area of opportunity in the opening price point range of the handheld personal massage product category. The challenge for us was to develop a series of unique personal massagers that were fun, effective and easy to use, without coming across as children’s toys.
Design Execution
The result of the collaborative effort was a product so successful that incoming orders pushed a six-story factory to capacity as it worked to crank out 30,000 units a day. A total volume of over 40 million of these handheld devices were made over the course of 5 years which jumpstarted a product category that is still relevant to this day. We’re very proud to have partnered with our long-term client on its most successful product launch in company history.
